Discrimination within Feminism

What's interesting about feminism when you look at different prospectives is there is still ethnic inequality in feminism. I researched a sociologist who is feminist named bell hooks. (Yes she does spell her name this way with no capitals). She argues that feminists focus on white women and not black women. I thought to myself how could this be because when I hear about feminism I felt like all women can relate. But what she further speaks of made me realize that yes she does have a point. She argues that feminists regard the household as female oppression but she argues that for black women it can be a place of refuge. Since lots of black women suffer from racism outside of their homes when they are at home they feel safe and comfortable. Therefore feminists should consider not only gender equality but race equality between women as well. It's kind of weird how that happens even with feminists. You would think feminists would consider other factors beside gender since they experience inequality. But I guess no theory is totally perfect, every theory or at least many can have it's flaw.
